    The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is a game for the Wii.
    It is the first Zelda game created specifically with the Wii in mind, and requires Wii Motion Plus. It is scheduled to be released on 18 november 2011.

     Gameplay

    The gameplay of Zelda Skyward Sword is different from previous Legend of Zelda series.
    The controls are revised with swordplay based on the Wii Motion Plus, which allows one to one motion control between the Wii Remote and the ingame sword.
    Now battles in Zelda Skyward Sword do not focus only on timing attacks, but also on their targets direction in which enemies are hit.
    Besides the sword, there are items like a mechanical flying beetle, a whip, bombs, a slingshot and a bow which can also be controlled with the Wii Motion Plus in Zelda Skyward Sword.
    A Stamina meter will allow for sprinting and running up walls.
    Drinking health potions does not interrupt the gameplay anymore, but the maps were made easier to read.

    1. Link is still right-handed.
    2. Drinking potions no longer stops the game. Unlike in previous Zelda games.
    3. The art style, which appears to be a mixture between Twilight Princess and Wind Waker, is heavily inspired by late 19th century impressionists.
    4. Item selection is handled differently than in other Zelda games. In Skyward Sword, players switch real time.
    5. The game is much harder than recent 3D Zelda titles. Minibosses take off two hearts at hit, which is up to eight times what they have in other recent Zelda games.
    6. MotionPlus sword control greatly affects battle strategy.
